Using the Y-cable (which has an RJ-9 connector and an AUX connector), you will connect your headset to the phone. In order for you to utilize the headset, it is possible that your administrator will need to enable it first.
- When you make use of the Electronic Hookswitch (EHS), the following will occur:
- The EHS is linked to the Cisco IP Phone via the connection.8811, 8841, and 8845 with the auxiliary port respectively.
- The auxiliary port, the USB port, or Bluetooth can be utilized to establish a connection between the EHS and the Cisco IP Phone 8851, 8861, or 8865.
Cisco IP Conference Phone 7832 Multiplatform Phone Supported Accessories
The Cisco IP Conference Phone 7832 Multiplatform Phone is not compatible with any add-ons or peripherals of any kind.
Cisco IP Conference Phone 8832 Multiplatform Phone Supported Accessories
You have the option of using either a wired microphone or a wireless microphone with the Cisco IP Conference Phone 8832. It is not possible to make use of both a wired microphone and a wireless microphone at the same time.

Connecting your phone to external hardware can be accomplished through the use of the headset jack, Bluetooth, or the USB port. An analog headset that is capable of being configured to enable wideband listening is included in the accessories list by default.
- Press Applications .

- Status > Accessories Bluetooth > Devices
