Add and manage a Webex site in Control Hub
Webex sites can be configured and managed in the Control Hub by the administrator. A Webex site can be created or deleted, and licenses can be redistributed from an old Webex site to a new one.
As a site administrator, who manages enterprise accounts, this article is aimed at you. More information on managing your Webex Meetings account can be found at manage my account.
General Limitations

As a result, you will not be able to manage Webex sites, such as add, delete, or edit webex sites, until the pending action on a Webex site has been addressed.

There is in general a 24-hour turnaround time for the completion of pending actions, but it may take a little longer.

In order to ensure that the action for a Webex site is completed successfully, we recommend you refrain from performing any tasks related to user management until the action is complete.
Add a Webex site in Control Hub
Webex Site Administration can be used to add Webex sites, and the Control Hub can be used to manage your users. You can choose to manage your users in either location.
You will need to contact a partner if you purchased Webex services from them and you would like to manage the Webex site using Control Hub if you did.
- To access Control Hub, you will need to sign in.
- Click Meeting under the Services navigation pane on the left of the screen.
- Then click on the Add Site button.
- If you would like to add a new site to an existing subscription, select the subscription and click Next.
- After clicking Next, you will be taken to the next screen.
- Please enter the name of the site, the time zone, and select where your users should be managed.
Select the checkbox next to Set up Webex site for early release to make sure that your site will receive access to features ahead of the normal deployment cycle. This setting cannot be changed at a later time.
- After selecting the Add Site option, click on the Next button.
If you would like to target users in a particular time zone, you need to do some research.
- Once all licenses have been distributed across all sites, select Save to save the changes.
Delete a Webex site in Control Hub
In the Control Hub, you have the option of deleting Webex sites that are managed by you. A Webex site must be associated with your subscription at all times in order for it to function

In the event that a Webex site is deleted or removed, all recordings that are related to that site are also deleted. The best thing you can do before deleting your Webex site is to download your recordings.

The scheduled meetings on the Webex site will not be able to be completed when the Webex site is deleted. Your users need to be educated as to why they should use a different Webex site for their meetings instead of the one they are using now.
- Log in to the Control Hub by clicking here.
- Click Meeting under the Services navigation pane on the left of the screen.
- Click the Delete Site option when you have selected the site that you wish to delete.
- Then click the Delete button.
There is no way to undo this action.
- The licenses along with the associated licenses for the site you’re deleting need to be redistributed, and then click on the Delete button.
Rename a Webex site in Control Hub
Renaming your Webex site in Control Hub is a simple process if you follow the steps explained in Renaming your Webex site in Control Hub.
Redistribute Webex licenses in Control Hub
As part of the Control Hub, you can distribute licenses to your other Webex sites so that they can use your licenses as well. In the event that you have to switch people in your organization from one Webex site to another, using this process will be of great benefit to you. The feature is only available if you use the Control Hub to manage more than one Webex site at the same time.
- Log in to the Control Hub by clicking here.
- Under the Services section of the left navigation pane, click on the Meeting option.
- In the Licenses and Users section, select the site that you would like to redistribute, and click Redistribute.
- Make sure that licenses are redistributed and select the Save option.
Determine your Webex site version in Control Hub
Depending on the version of the Webex site you are using, you may have access to different features, and that is why you should know what version you are using.
- Make sure that you are logged into the Control Hub.
- Click Meeting under the Services navigation pane on the left of the screen.
- Click on the Configure Site button after you have selected your website.
- There is an option for Site Information under Common Settings.
- There is a link under Site Information to access the page of the site as well as client versions.
Webex site management in Control Hub
Managing a Webex site in Control Hub instead of Webex Site Administration differs from managing a Webex site in Webex Site Administration in a few ways. The Control Hub is the favorite place for configuring Webex sites, managing users, and viewing reports when it comes to Webex sites.
If you are managing your Webex site using Control Hub, you do not have access to all of the Webex Site Administration features and options that you have access to in Control Hub.

Set default version for new Webex sites
A Cisco Partner can decide what version of Webex should be installed on new sites by default. It is not possible to perform a per-customer update on the minimum site version if the default version installation option is enabled. Customers whose sites have already been provisioned prior to the implementation of this setting are not affected by this setting.
- The Partner Hub can be accessed by logging in.
- You can find Webex under the Settings section on the left navigation pane.
- Ensure that the provisioning of new Webex sites with the latest version of the Cisco Webex Teams application version is checked under Cisco Webex Teams Application Version, or uncheck it and choose another version of the Cisco Webex Teams application from the drop-down list.
