Add Zoom Room on Controller
The Zoom Room Controller and the web portal are the two options for adding Zoom Rooms.
Zoom Rooms can be added quickly using the Zoom Room controller. With the controller, you can set the name of the room, the calendar integration, the location, and the passcode for the room. Use the web portal for additional configuration.
Prerequisites for adding Zoom Rooms with a Zoom Rooms controller
- Hardware requirements for the computer
- That meets the requirements related to the controller device
- For Zoom Rooms for Conference Room version 5.1.0 and higher
- With Zoom Rooms Controller version 5.1.0 and higher
How to add Zoom Rooms with a Zoom Rooms controller
- Zoom Rooms Conference Room app needs to be installed on the computer and the Zoom Rooms application needs to be installed on the controller.
- Click the Zoom Rooms app to launch it.
- The Zoom Rooms application will open.
- A pairing code will appear on the computer. On the controller, enter the pairing code.
- Click Sign In to continue.
- You need to sign in as a Zoom Rooms administrator or owner.
Note: For sign in with Google, for sign in with your email, for entering an activation code, and for sign in with a Google account, tap Sign In with Google. - Click + Add New Room.
- Type the name of the room.
- Click Next.
- You can add a calendar by tapping it or by tapping Set Up Later.
- Zoom Rooms’ admin portal allows you to select locations you have previously created. This step is otherwise skipped automatically.
- Next, enter the passcode for the room so you can control access to it. You can also find out when the passcode can be used by visiting the Passcode page.
- Then tap Done.
- Now you have set up a room that is ready to be used.
