All about the Call Flip use In Zoom App
Call flip permits you to place the current phone call on hold as well as answer it for another device. (It’s applicable for zoom mobile app, desktop client, and the provisional desk phone).
From this article, know about the call flip initiation, answering a held call, and using it for the call flip proximity from the zoom room.
Basic requirements.
- Must have the zoom phone license.
Remember, when you don’t have the preconditions below, just use the call park for alternating the call flip.
Call flip for mobile applications, desk phone, or desktop clients.
- Originating device.
- Zoom desktop client for Linux, Mac OS, and Windows.
- Zoom mobile application for iOS or Android.
- The call flip supportive provisioned desk phones.
- Destination device.
- The call flip supportive provisioned desk phones.
- The zoom Rooms should have a phone license.
- The zoom mobile app for iOS, Android version should be 4.5.3 or above.
- The zoom desktop client for Mac OS, Linux, or Windows should have a 4.5.4 version or above.
The proximity call flip to zoom room from the mobile application.
- Originating device.
- Having a zoom mobile application for iOS to Android version of 5.2.1 or above.
- Destination zoom room.
- The zoom room must have a phone license.
- The auto direct sharing applies to the enabled ultrasonic proximity signal.
- The originating devices must have the user signed which requires them to be in the same account as the zoom room destination.
Processing the originating device call flip.
- Receive or make a call by means of zoom desktop client, provisioned desk phone, or mobile app.
- Make the call on hold when using the in-call controls.
- The other party will only hear hold music when they are in hold.
Answering for a held call ( destination device).
For mobile apps or desktop clients.
- Select the phone icon.
- Then choose the lines tab for viewing the call you check the call which you have earlier placed on hold.
- Select the hold icon again and then answer the call.
Desk phone.
Remember, try to apply the below steps for most desk phones supported by the zoom phone. Further details are only available at the support site of your respective phone manufacturer.
Step 1. Visit the desk phone’s home screen.
Step 2. Check for the phone line which is on hold. This is mainly indicated by the public hold/ hold icon. Note, when your phone has line keys it will blink red light.
Step 3. Select the phone line and answer the call.
Using Zoom Room proximity call flip.
You can apply the call flip for switching your call to a zoom room that has a phone license. This would use the ultrasonic proximity legal feature in detecting for the close by zoom room.
Step 1. Choose the make or receive a call by using the mobile applications.
Step 2. Input a zoom room in which you wish to switch your call.
Step 3. Click more followed by the handoff to the room.
The zoom mobile app detects the nearby room and also shows the room name.
Step 4. Select handoff to this room for confirming the call flip.
Remember, when zoom won’t be able to detect the room, you will be notified for inputting the sharing key to flip the call. The sharing key appears in the top right corner of the zoom room display.
The zoom room display also presents your profile name. The controller also displays the in-call controls.
