If you are a zoom admin or account owner then you have the privilege of enabling the zoom meeting quality scores as well as dashboard network alerts from the dashboard for meetings and webinars. The basis of quality score is on the mean opinion score on the criteria of one to five ratings. Here one stands for bad quality rating and five goes for good quality. The audio, screen sharing, and video quality score as well as network alerts are visible in the meeting or zoom webinar dashboard. Zoom contains default values which showcase in case of network alerts.
Other than the default values, as is allowed for setting the personalized threshold which will encounter network problems for zoom audio, screen sharing, video, and other usages. All the alerts are notified through the dashboard.

Enabling steps for zoom network alerts and quality scores.
Step 1. Visit zoom web portal and zoom sign in.
Step 2. From the navigation panel direct to the account management and then go to account settings.
Step 3. Tap on the room meeting section.
Step 4. You will find a Meeting quality score and network alerts on the dashboard tab in the admin section. They ensure that it is enabled so that it gets verified.
Step 5. If you find that the section is disabled then press on the toggle to make it enable. Once done again click on enable in the verification dialog. It will verify the change.
Step 6. You can tap from the below two options to make it enabled-
- Displaying meeting quality score or dashboard network alerts. This helps in showing the regular MOS metric for analyzing the change in quality. Based on the MOS alerts will be displayed. Clear instructions regarding this are available in the overview section.
- Setting a custom threshold for alerts in the network. This is the option that enables you to set a custom threshold other than following the MOS metric. The overview section will specify you regarding this. Don’t forget to set custom thresholds before you enable the section.
How to set network alerts and custom thresholds?
As shared earlier, at first you have to enable the option to set customs thresholds for network alerts. After that, you can specify the threshold. If you are confused about determining threshold then visit the zoom support page on meetings and phone statistics.
Step 1. Visit zoom web portal and zoom sign in.
Step 2. From the navigation panel, tap on the dashboard.
Step 3. Above the dashboard screen, tap on the zoom webinar or meetings tab.
Step 4. In the right side corner of the top screen, tap on quality settings.
Step 5. To customize you can click on the following tabs-
- Zoom audio.
- Zoom video.
- Zoom screen sharing.
- Or zoom CPU usage tab.
Step 6. Then tap on edit.
Step 7. You are now all set to type values of the chosen threshold.
Step 8. Once done, tap on apply.
How does the zoom dashboard allow you to view alerts?
Step 1. Visit zoom web portal and zoom sign in.
Step 2. From the navigation panel, tap on the dashboard.
Step 3. Above the dashboard screen, tap on the zoom webinar or meetings tab.
Step 4. You can have an entry to historical zoom meeting data if you click past meetings. (Optional)
Step 5. You will notice the following columns.
- Health: Overviews critical or warning issues on the already set MOS-based meeting or custom threshold.
- Issue. It displays present connectivity or client health issues like poor audio, screen sharing, or video quality. High CPU use or reconnecting or sudden disconnecting issues are also shown. Like for instance-
- Unstable network for video.
- High CPU usage.
- In the case in place of setting custom thresholds, you have enabled MOS, you will get the following columns.
- Audio Quality.
- Screen share quality.
- Video Quality columns.
All these columns will display you a grade, like whether it is good, fair, or bad! based on MOS. To get some particular MOS details you have to select the participant’s display name.
Thus, the zoom quality score feature is convenient for regular zoom users, where they can decide their work plans based on the quality network score.
