Allow Bring your own device (BYOD) in Control Hub in Webex
It is possible to enhance the security of corporate devices by locking them so that only authorized users are able to participate in meetings or host them. The easiest way to accomplish this is to configure a token ID on the corporate devices of your company. BYOD is enabled by default in the company. Turning off BYOD means that users won’t be able to attend or host meetings if their devices don’t have a token ID attached to them.
There is a BYOD setting that is turned on by default. By enabling this feature, each member of your organization will be able to join a meeting with their own device and host meetings. To turn off BYOD, you need to make sure that token IDs are installed on all of your trusted corporate devices before turning it off so that no users can join and host meetings with their personal devices within your organization.
There is a possibility that signed-in users from your organization will be prevented from joining and hosting meetings on both corporate and personal devices if the BYOD setting is turned off without the token ID authorization which is installed on corporate devices. Prior to turning off BYOD, make sure that all corporate devices have the token installed before you turn off BYOD.
