Allow users to change their profile fields for meetings in webex
Do you worry that user profiles are being changed in an unprofessional or inappropriate manner? Admins can choose whether or not to allow Webex users to change their first name, last name, display name, and profile picture as part of their account setup.
Webex Administration
- Go to the configuration screen, then click on Common Site Settings > Options, then click the Account Management Settings section, and you will be able to see the following information.
- The following check box can be checked to allow users to edit a field, under Allow users to change the below fields, in order to allow them to do so.
Control Hub
It is not possible for users to change their profiles in Webex App if your organization’s users are synced with Active Directory. It is not possible to edit users’ profile in Control Hub due to the absence of controls for enabling users to do so.
- Go to the webex admin page by clicking https://admin.webex.com/ and under management, click Organization Settings, and follow the directions
- Go to the Webex user profile by scrolling down the page.
- If you want users to be able to edit the following profile fields, make sure the following boxes are checked:
