Allow Users to Host Meetings from a Video Device Without a PIN in Cisco Webex Site Administration
You have the option of granting hosts and participants the ability to host scheduled and Personal Room meetings from within your own organization using Cisco Webex video devices. Users won’t be prompted with the “Are you the host?” question anymore, and anyone can initiate the host’s meeting directly from the device.
In order to make advantage of this functionality, both your Webex site and its users will need to be connected to Control Hub.
1 After logging in, navigate to the Configuration > Common Site Settings > Options menu item in Webex Site Administration.
2 Scroll down to Schedule Meeting Options and choose the check box that says “Allow users to let anyone with a host account on this site or anyone joining from an authenticated Cisco video device in this organization host their scheduled or Personal Room meetings.” After that, click the “Save” button.
3 Select the Update button.
4 (End user settings) Request that the user navigate to the Webex site and enable the option to “Allow Others to Start My Personal Room Meetings from a Video Device without a PIN.”
5 (End user settings) Request that the user go and pick the saved template so that it can be used for future meetings. For information on how to join meetings without a PIN, see the Create and Save a Template section.
