Annotate on screen share from Board and Desk Series in a call – Webex
You have the ability to annotate the content that you are sharing on your Board or Desk Series device when you are participating in a call or a meeting.
Once you start sharing your screen, the other people on the call will immediately be able to see what you’re showing them. They can annotate your screen sharing using the Webex app on their device or the app on their device itself. When another person shares their screen, the content opens on your device as well, and you have the option to annotate it as well.
1 Share the display of your laptop or mobile phone on the Webex device so others can view it while you are on a call. Read this page for more information on sharing files wirelessly, and this article for more information on sharing files using an HDMI cable.
Check out this article on wirelessly sharing your screen while you’re on a call if the personal mode is activated on your device.
2 To begin making annotations, touch the bottom-left corner of the screen on the device. Tap the screen once if the button isn’t displayed on the screen. The drawing function might not become available right away if you choose to open it.
At the very bottom of your screen, you will find the typical whiteboard drawing tools, which you can employ in order to create your annotations.
3 If you ever need to leave the shared content whiteboard, you can use the task switcher by swiping up from the bottom of the screen on your device. Swipe up and tap the whiteboard in the task switcher, or tap the task switcher itself and select the whiteboard option, to return to the annotating screen.
To exit the whiteboard in the task switcher, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. You can access it in the same manner by tapping the Files button located on the home screen.
To stop sharing your screen on the device, you can do so by selecting the Stop sharing option on your laptop or phone.
4 Tap the Save button on the device’s screen when you have completed making annotations and the call has ended. When using a device that is shared, you have the option of saving your annotations to an already existing Webex area or making a new one. On devices that are set to personal mode, your annotations will be saved in the form of a.pdf and may be found under the Whiteboard tab of the Webex app space. Everyone who is currently present in that area is able to view the image and continue to work on it.
