Archiving indicators in zoom App
Meeting and Webinar Archiving through Zoom gives account administrators the option of automating the process of collecting and archiving meeting data to any third party platform of their choice, in order to comply with FINRA and/or other compliance regulations. Data archiving, disclaimers, and archiving for specific groups can only be managed by account administrators.

Types of archiving notifications
Meeting participants are notified when a meeting is archived. Essentially, there are three types of indicators:
- Tooltip for archiving meetings in-meeting
- Audio/video notification on screen at one time
- Archive notifications for meetings
In-meeting archiving tooltip
When any or all the artifacts are archived (video, audio, conference chat, transcripts, transcripts and captions) the archiving badge appears.
You can see the history of the types of artifacts captured and archived for a meeting by clicking the disclaimer icon. Account administrators can also customize this.
In-meeting on-screen disclaimer for audio and video
Note:
The audio and video archiving disclaimer will not be displayed when joining a meeting if only in-meeting chat is marked for archiving.
If a participant joins a meeting that is in the process of archiving, or if a regulated user joins the meeting, they will see this message. Participants will be asked to consent to having their meeting data archived once prompted. Participants may also choose to leave the meeting.
In addition to the notification message and the voice prompt, a user joining a meeting will be told that the meeting is being archived if the account administrator selects the voice prompt option.
In-meeting chat notification
By clicking the Chat icon (if enabled) in the meeting, users are able to view the archived in-meeting chat messages.
Note: The disclaimer will not appear when users join a meeting if only in-meeting chat is marked for archiving; they will only see the disclaimer when opening the chat window.
Managing archiving for an account
It is possible to configure archives for individual accounts or user groups, giving administrators the flexibility to detail the types of information the organization is archiving, or to include more information about the organization.
