Audio Broadcast in Webex Events (Classic)
When you schedule large events, you have the choice of choosing what audio options you would like to use, and you can offer your participants the option of hearing a one-way audio broadcast through their computer speakers.
Set up Audio Broadcast
- Scroll down to the Audio Conference Settings section on the Schedule an Event page.
- Using the drop-down menu, choose the type of conference that you would like to attend.
- Make sure that the audio broadcast check box is checked in order to provide audio to attendees.
Play or Stop Audio Broadcast
When you are using audio broadcasting, you are listening to the event audio through the speakers on your computer. The teleconference can be joined by requesting to be included in the call. In other words, you won’t be able to communicate unless you use non-verbal tools like feedback, chat, and question and answer sessions.

It is important to select Audio Broadcast if audio broadcasting is available for your event.

To begin the broadcast, select the Play button.

The broadcast can be paused by selecting the Pause option.

When the audio broadcast has been stopped, the Audio Broadcast dialog box will close and the audio broadcast will be stopped.
- Select the audio broadcast option for your event if it is enabled for audio broadcasting.
There will be a dialog box that appears entitled Audio Broadcast.
- To begin the broadcast, select the Play button.
- The broadcast can be paused by selecting the Pause option.
- When the audio broadcast has been stopped, the Audio Broadcast dialog box will close and the audio broadcast will be stopped.
