Audio echo elimination with proximity detection in zoom App
Zoom desktop client detects Zoom Rooms and other devices participating in a meeting using ultrasonic sound. In Zoom Rooms, computer audio is disabled by default to prevent echoes.
Prerequisites
- Version 3.6 and higher of Zoom Rooms for Mac or PC/Touch
- PC/Touch, including the Zoom Rooms iPad controller (version 3.6 and above)
- Using the ultrasonic proximity signal option, automatic direct sharing can be conducted without any additional setup
Instructions
Zoom Rooms are the sources of the audio so if you are close to a Zoom Room, the Zoom Desktop Client will automatically disable your computer audio (both speakers and microphones) if it detects that you are nearby a Zoom Room. As long as you have enabled this feature, you do not have to take any action.
