Bulk importing contacts to an address book in zoom app
The address book is a collection of personal information provided by consumers, including their names and phone numbers, in addition to their locations. If this consumer is a contact in your address book, when Zoom desktop client is receiving an active engagement, Zoom will display information from the address book in a pop-up window during the active engagement. A consumer who is not included in the address book can be added by agents by selecting the appropriate address book from which to add the contact.

How to bulk add contacts to an address book using a CSV file

Zoom’s web portal can be accessed by logging in.

Click Contact Center Management in the navigation menu, and then click Address Books in the list of tabs.

Click on the previously-created unit on the left-side panel and then click on the address book on the right-side panel.

Depending on whether there are already contacts or not, you will need to choose Import Contacts (if there are none).

For a free sample CSV file to be downloaded and a list of required fields to be displayed, click on Download CSV Sample in the web portal.

Use spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel to fill out the CSV sample.
Note: Ensure that the format requirements of your CSV file are met before submitting it. -
You can now begin the import process by clicking Upload CSV and selecting your completed CSV file
CSV requirements
Make sure that your CSV file meets the following requirements when you are importing or updating contacts:

Make sure that the first row contains the field names and you do not delete it.

Ensure that the phone number in the Phone Number field contains the following information (don’t use dashes or spaces):

There is no need to include a plus sign before the country code

Code of the area

Number of the phone

Note: You are unable to specify multiple phone numbers or emails when you import a CSV file to add contacts to the system. The Zoom desktop client lets you add multiple phone numbers or emails to a single contact, or you can use the Zoom web portal if you wish to edit or add multiple contacts.

Display name: It is the name displayed on the contact’s profile page.

Phone number: A phone number for the contact. The desktop client will use the caller ID number during an engagement in order to determine what contact information should be displayed for the agent based on that number.
