Calling a SIP/H.323 room system from the client
How to enable Call a SIP/H.323 room system directly from the client
Account
- Log in to the Zoom web portal.
- Select Account Management then Account Settings from the navigation panel.
- Select Meeting.
- Check the box that says Call a SIP/H.323 room system directly from the client under More Settings
Settings - Settings.
- Click the toggle to enable the setting if it is disabled. To verify the setting is enabled, click Turn On in the verification dialog box.
- Click the lock icon to make this setting mandatory for all users in your account. To confirm the setting, click Lock.
Group
The Group Management page has been renamed to Groups if you signed up for a Zoom account after August 21, 2021, or if the New Admin Experience is enabled on your account.
- Log in to Zoom’s web portal.
- Choose User Management > Group Management from the navigation panel.
- Click the relevant group name, then click Settings.
- Click Meetings.
- Under More Settings, verify that Call a SIP/H.323 room system directly from the client
is enabled. - If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it. If a verification dialog displays, click Turn On to verify the change.
Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level. - (Optional) If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in the group, click the lock icon, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
User
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation panel, click Settings.
- Click the Meeting tab.
- Under Other, verify that Call a SIP/H.323 room system directly from the client
is enabled. - If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it. If a verification dialog displays, click Turn On to verify the change.
Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.
How to call a room system
Call from the Zoom desktop client
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
- On the Home tab, click Call a Room.
- Click H.323/SIP, then enter the address of the room system.
- Click Call.
Call from the Zoom mobile app
- Sign in to the Zoom mobile app.
- Tap Call a Room.
- Tap H.323/SIP, then enter the address of the room system.
- Tap Call.
Call from the iPadOS client
- Use an iPad to sign into the Zoom client.
- Select Call a Room.
- Tap H.323/SIP, then enter the address of the room system.
- Tap Call.
