Changing your meeting settings in zoom app
There is an option for enabling or disabling features in your meeting settings. In addition to enabling breakout rooms, recording, and chat, these settings control the availability of many features. Administrators can turn on/off or lock settings at different levels.
Note: Setting at the user level is the topic of this article. You can also access settings at the group and account levels if you have account owner or admin privileges.
How to access and edit meeting settings
-
Zoom’s web portal can be accessed by signing in.
-
Select Settings from the menu.
-
Activate or deactivate a setting by clicking it.
-
Accounts and groups can also lock settings. The setting will indicate this next to it. An account admin or owner must change a locked setting under Account Settings or Groups if it is at the account or group level.
The following settings can be changed. It is necessary to meet certain prerequisites in order to use certain settings. You can check if your account meets the prerequisites for the setting if you don’t see it listed for your group.
Note: User settings are discussed in this article. In addition to settings at the group and account level, you can access user-level settings if you are an account owner or admin.
