Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) on Board, Desk, and Room Series in webex

It is possible to find the voice VLAN advertised by the switch by using the Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) service. In that case, you will be able to communicate with your device through the voice VLAN rather than your default VLAN if it’s present.

Using the CDP service requires your device to be connected to a wired Ethernet network in order to function. It is by default that the CDP service is running and on. Changes can be made by following these steps:

  1. By swiping left or right on the screen or selecting the button on the bottom, you will be able to open the control panel on your device. Choose Device Settings from the list of options that appears.

  2. Then scroll down to the Network Connection section and select Ethernet.

  3. It is possible to turn on or off CDP (Cisco Discovery Protocol) by using this button.

  4. In the menu at the top right of the page, tap the checkmark when you are finished.
