Cisco Headset Multi-app Feature in webex
Keeping headset call controls while you have multiple open calling applications on your desktop will allow you to maintain control over headset calls.
When more than one calling client is open on a Windows or Mac desktop, Cisco Headsets can retain call control features when this is the case. With headset controls, you are able to impact only one calling application at a time instead of broadcasting a button press to all open applications.
The headset controls will not be affected by muting an active call in Webex and answering a Jabber call through the Jabber UI while on the Jabber call. While on the Jabber call, only Jabber controls will be impacted by the headset controls in Webex. You can continue your Webex call after the Jabber call has ended and keep control of the call through the headset when the Jabber call has ended.
If you have several desktop calling apps open at the same time, keep these things in mind:
-
When you answer an incoming call on another application while you have an active call, the active call will not automatically be held. Before answering an incoming call on another app, it is a good idea to hold or mute the call on the one application that you are currently using.
-
It is only possible to control multiple applications using Webex (version 41.8 or higher) and Cisco Jabber (version 14.1 or higher) over Bluetooth or via USB cable that multi-app control is available.
There are a number of requirements for a headset to support multi-apps, as shown in the following table.
