You have the option of authenticating yourself to the network by using either a user name and password or client certificates. Either way, you have the choice. Additionally, it is feasible to make use of both of them at the same time. In order to make use of the 802.1x service, the client certificates will need to be activated after being uploaded using the API and will also need to be uploaded. Setting up and upgrading the certificates for 802.1x must be done either before pairing the Room Navigator to a system or after the Room Navigator has been restored to factory settings, whichever comes first. The login credentials are admin, and the password is left blank. See the most recent version of the API documentation for further information on how to add certificates by visiting the API.

1 Select Settings by tapping on the device’s name, which is located in the upper left corner of the screen.

2 Navigate to the Network connection settings and the Ethernet settings.

3 Make sure that Use IEEE 802.1X is selected.

  • In the event that authentication is accomplished through the use of credentials, enter the user name and pass phrase. Tap the back button located in the upper left corner of the screen so that the device may authenticate itself using the settings.
  • Toggle the Use Client Certificate setting to “on” if you have previously used the API and uploaded a client certificate.
