Configure a Default Voicemail Passcode for All New Users in webex
New users can be assigned a default passcode if you are an administrator.
It is highly recommended that you communicate with your users the default passcode you have set for new users who join your organization, and that they must reset that passcode using the app or their device before they can access their voicemail. New users will need to set their own passcode, if this feature is not turned on, on the Webex Settings page when they first log in.
Go to Services > Calling > Service Settings in the customer view from the admin part of the Webex application at https://admin.webex.com.
If you would like to enable the default passcode for your organization, you need to select the Voicemail Passcode toggle under the Voicemail section.
Here are the requirements for the default passcode, which you should enter:
-
Numbers must have at least 6 digits and at most 30 digits in order to be accepted.
-
There cannot be more than four repeated digits in the number.
-
Repeated patterns are not allowed.
-
A string of four consecutive digits cannot be used in the same field.
In order to confirm your passcode, you must re-enter it.
(Optional) You can choose whether you want to set a maximum number of days passcode changes are allowed between each attempt. After selecting the toggle, you will need to enter the number of days in the box provided.
In general, there should be a range of 1 to 7 days in the period.
In this section, you can set whether or not the passcode will expire after a certain number of days. Enter the number of days you would like to extend the extension by selecting the toggle.
Ideally, the number of days should range from 15 to 180.
Save the file by clicking the Save button.
