Using the Y Trainer Cable, users of the Cisco Headset 530 Series are able to attach a second headset to the device. Using the Y Trainer Cable, a trainer is able to listen in on a trainee’s call and join the conversation if it becomes necessary. In the event that it becomes required, a trainer or supervisor is able to swiftly join a call by using the switch located on the trainer cable, which switches voice control between the headsets. There is a direct correlation between the colors on the switch and the colors on each arm of the cable. When the switch is in the blue position, the arm of the headset with the blue band is operational. When the switch is in the light grey position, the active arm of the cable is the one that is light grey.
- Establish a connection between the trainer cable and the USB controller for the Cisco Headset 530 Series.
- Attach the trainee headset to the trainer cable arm that does not contain the control switch.
- Using the switch, attach the trainer headset to one of the arms of the Y wire.
- You can switch between the headsets’ respective voice feedbacks by using the switch located on the trainer cord.
