AppLink can be turned on by using the controls on the steering wheel or dashboard, and then you can use voice commands to control the system.
The app alerts you before or when the host begins the meeting, if your site administrator has configured your site to send notifications.
It is possible for hosts to allow attendees to join the meeting before they do so when scheduling the meeting. In the meeting information, only the host’s name appears once he or she has joined the meeting.
There is only one time when you have to wait in a lobby before your host admits you or enters the room, which is when joining a meeting in someone else’s Personal Room. Once you have been admitted by the host or the host enters the room, you can then join the meeting. When you are in the lobby, you can tap the Notify Host button to let the host know you are waiting for them.
Connect to the audio conference
Using VoIP over the Internet, receiving a call to your device, or entering the video address for the meeting as an address is the easiest method of joining an audio conference.
- You can choose an audio option by tapping the Audio Connection Options menu.
-
Use Internet for Audio—If you aren’t connected to Wi-Fi, you use your 3G or 4G data plan. With Webex Audio or VoIP only, you use wideband audio in audio conferences.
In a meeting with wideband audio, anyone without wideband audio will be downgraded if they join. Before a downgrade occurs, Meetings does not give a warning message.
-
Call Me—Please enter your telephone number.
You will receive calls automatically if you enable Auto Call Me in the app’s settings.
-
Call In—You will be brought to a call-in number. Enter it. See a list of call-in numbers from other regions by tapping Global Call-In Numbers.
Take note of the attendee ID and the access code. Joining the meeting requires these numbers.
When prompted, enter the meeting number or access code and attendee ID to join the meeting. Those without their attendee IDs should press # to wait in the lobby until someone lets them in.
During the meeting, your attendee ID is connected to your audio. The audio connection does not appear in the Participants list if you don’t enter your attendee ID, and you can’t control the audio from the application without entering it.
-
Disconnect audio—The call is being played.
By turning on Skip Audio and Video Preview in Settings > Audio & Video, you can save default options for joining.
Alternatively, you can set your device to automatically muffle when you join meetings. You can enable Mute on Entry in the settings of your app.
During a meeting, you can switch between your connected audio sources if you’re using iOS 11 or later. Your device’s speaker, Bluetooth headset, or Bluetooth speaker can all be used.

Use audio-only meeting join links
There is a possibility that you will not be able to join meetings via the audio-only meeting join link, depending on the model of your device. The Known issues and limitations (Android) section provides more information.
Audio-only meeting join links can be added to your site if your site administrator allows you to do so, allowing attendees to join the audio portion with a single click. Call-in users must be supported and the option to exclude passwords from invitations must be turned off when scheduling the meeting.
You can join the meeting by tapping the link for the call-in number. Whether you’re hosting the meeting or using the desktop app or mobile app, you need to start it from your Webex site.
For joining the meeting, you may need to enter a password depending on the Android device and email app you are using.
