Control Who Can Interact with You in Cisco Jabber for Windows – Webex
You have the ability, depending on how Cisco Jabber is deployed in your organization, to control who interacts with you both inside and outside of your company.
1 Open the Settings menu from the hub window, and then select Options from the menu that appears. Instead of selecting File > Options >, you should do so if you’re using an earlier version of Cisco Jabber for Windows.
2 Select the “Privacy” tab from the menu.
3 In the section under “Inside my company,” choose one of the following alternatives to proceed:
Option | Description |
---|---|
Allow everyone | Every contact in your organization has the opportunity to monitor your current availability status and to send you instant messages. |
Block everyone | Nobody in your workplace is able to see your current availability or send you instant messages. You have the option of blocking everyone, and then selecting individual contacts to make exceptions for in your allow list. This setting will not prevent contacts from appearing in your contact list. |
4 In the area titled “Outside of my company,” you must choose one of the following options:

Prompt me every time | When somebody from outside your company add you as a contact, Cisco Jabber will notify you of the addition. You have the ability to choose one of the following alternatives each time the client notifies you:
