Control Your Call Recordings on Your Desk Phone in webex
In order to determine the extent of your control over recording your calls, you need to speak with your administrator. As part of your setup, you may be able to choose which calls you would like to record, or you may be able to record all incoming and outgoing calls automatically, depending on how you set it up.
Start and Stop Recordings
Before you begin
You will only be able to see these options if your administrator has configured your system to record calls on demand.
- You can record a call by clicking the Record button during the call.
- The StopRec softkey can be used to stop recording.
A Call Record Always environment means that you will not see call recording options, which means that your configuration has been set up with this setting.
Your administrator may also have set you up in a way that if a recording is started, you might hear an audio announcement or a series of beeps.
Pause and Resume Recordings
Before you begin
The following options can only be displayed if your administrator has configured you for On Demand or Always with the option to pause and resume recording the calls.
- You can pause a recording by clicking the PauseRec soft key while it is being recorded.
- Using the ResumeRec soft key, you can resume your recording.
If you wish to pause or resume recordings, you may also use feature access codes (FAC) that allow you to do so. FACs can be found under Webex Calling | Feature Access Codes for more information about what they are and how they work.
