Controlling Zoom Phone access on mobile apps
Overview
The Zoom administrator can control which Zoom mobile apps users can access (Android, iOS, iPad). In addition to these features, a phone also has other features, such as sending and receiving SMS, calling history and voicemail.
Prerequisites
- Accounts for professionals, businesses, and schools
- With administrator access
- To the Zoom Phone service
- Note:
- Users of the mobile app version 5.6.6 and higher will not see the Phone tab if this setting is disabled. Phone features are not available to users on older versions.
Instructions
- At the account or site user level, you can access your policy settings.
Note: - Site-level policy settings are available only if you have multiple sites.
- Toggle Zoom Phone on Mobile on or off.
- Zoom mobile apps (Android, iOS, iPad) can be used with Zoom Phone if it is enabled.
- Allow Calling and SMS/MMS functions on Mobile:
- Switch between enabling and disabling these functions. The phone app allows you to access voicemail and call history even if calling and SMS are disabled on the phone.
- Zoom phone users are not able to use Zoom mobile apps (Android, iOS, iPad) if Zoom Phone is disabled. In addition, Zoom phone users do not have access to SMS, call history, and voicemail.
- Zoom mobile apps (Android, iOS, iPad) can be used with Zoom Phone if it is enabled.
