Custom analytics dashboards for your cloud collaboration portfolio in Control Hub in webex
Depending on what kind of data you want to see, you can select it from one place and see it all at once. As you can see from the example below, if you want to build a dashboard with charts and graphs from different sections in a manner that is convenient to you, you can do this through custom analytics.
My Dashboards
You will find a default summary dashboard that is included in My Dashboards at the beginning of the dashboard page, along with two sections: “How do my users use Webex?” and “How is Webex performing?” This dashboard includes pre-filled charts that provide you with a high-level overview of your organization’s Webex deployment.
Using the Edit Dashboard drop-down menu, you have the option to customize the Summary dashboard, or you can add your own dashboard by clicking the Add Dashboard button.
Dashboards can only be viewed if they have been created by you.
How custom dashboards work
Click on Analytics > My Dashboards, then click Add Dashboard in order to begin the process of building a dashboard. Clicking on Edit Dashboard will allow you to rename the dashboard, and you will be able to add or remove sections from it. It will not take long for you to start adding charts to your dashboard once you have your sections and dashboard ready to go. The Meetings, Messaging, Calling, or Devices analytics sections allow you to add charts to dashboards by clicking Pin to dashboard.
Supported charts and graphs
It is the only customizable dashboard that supports charts from Meetings, Messaging, Calling, and Device Analyses. It is possible to create custom dashboards for each of those charts, which you can then resize or reorder however you want according to your needs. If you would like to add more than one copy of the same chart, you can do so by selecting filters on each copy of the chart.
Filters
In order to pin a chart or graph that includes a filter, the filter must be applied to the chart or graph first. You can pin the chart to a dashboard once you’ve applied the filter, and the filter will remain on the chart as long as you keep it pinned. Once a filter has been pinned to the dashboard, you cannot change it once it has been pinned. Then you would need to pin another chart to which you would apply a new filter if you wanted to change the filter.
Download as a PDF
Dashboards are available as a PDF document that you can download if you wish to share the data with others within your organization or if you wish to save it for your own records. The dashboards can be downloaded as PDF files if you wish, and a snapshot of the data will be taken at that time. There will also be a separate page break for each section of the document.
How are custom dashboards useful?
There is a great advantage to custom dashboards, as you can tailor each one according to your requirements. In this example, let us take the example of creating a dashboard in which you have KPIs from all the other sections displayed. As a result of this dashboard, you are able to see a high level overview of each Webex service so you can compare them in one place, and you can save time by not having to go into each section one by one, and you are able to compare services quickly. You can troubleshoot by drilling down to the relevant section if you notice that one of the KPIs looks off.

It will not affect the shared dashboards of other administrators if you make updates to it after you’ve shared it, even if you’ve made updates to your own dashboard.
