Customize Your DECT Handset in webex
Cisco IP DECT Phone 6825 Handset provides you with a number of options to customize.
Set the Handset Language
If you wish to change the language displayed on the handset, you can do so.
- Click on the Menu button.
- You can select the language from the Settings menu.
- Choose a language and highlight it.
- Save the settings by pressing Select.
Set the Handset LED
There is a green, red, or yellow LED on top of the handset. Depending on the situation, you can choose a specific color.
Click the Menu button.
Choose LED signal from the Settings menu.
Make your choice between LEDs.

Green LED
-
Yellow LED
-
Red LED
The LED to light choice should be highlighted.

Off: There will be no light coming from the LED.

Missed call: A missed call will be indicated by the LED lights.

Voice message: A voicemail message will be indicated by the LED lights.

Low battery: In case of low battery power, the LED will illuminate.
Save the settings by pressing Select.
Set the Handset Name
The handset can be given a name. Phones display names on their main screens.
- Click the Menu button.
- Choose Settings > Handset name.
- Using the keypad, enter your name.
- The symbol you need can be found by pressing the Symbol button, navigating to the desired symbol, and selecting it.
- The last character can be deleted by pressing Clear.
- Save the file.
Select Your Default Line
The line you select as your primary line will be the one that appears first on your screen if there are multiple lines. The secondary line can be selected when needed.
Click the Menu button.
Go to Settings > Line.
Decide which line will be your primary line by selecting it.
Then click Save.
Set the Idle Clock on Your Handset
In the handset’s home screen, you can choose whether the time is displayed when it is idle.
Click the Menu button.
Idle Clock can be found under Settings.
Decide what you want to highlight.

Off: On the home screen, the time does not display.

On (default): On the home screen, you can see the time.
Save the settings by pressing Select.
Set the Idle Screen Saver on Your Handset
You can control the screen display while the handset is charging.
Click the Menu button.
Idle Screen Saver can be found under Settings.
Your choice should be highlighted.

Off (default): Upon reaching the configured time, the screen will turn off.

Idle clock (dimmed): There is a dim clock displayed on the screen.

Startup image (dimmed): A dimmed start-up graphic appears on the screen.
Save the settings by pressing Select.
Set the Timer to Turn Off the Screen on Your Handset
When the handset is turned off after a certain amount of time, the screen will turn off. After a certain amount of inactivity, the screen dims before it turns off.
Click the Menu button.
Power saver can be found under Settings.
Your choice should be highlighted.

5 seconds: A dimming effect occurs after two seconds, followed by a five-second turnoff.

10 seconds: 5 seconds after turning on the screen, it dims and 10 seconds after turning off.

20 seconds: After 5 seconds, the screen dims and after 20 seconds, it turns off.

30 seconds: After 10 seconds and 30 seconds, the screen dims and turns off.

45 seconds: Approximately 10 seconds after the screen dims and 45 seconds after the screen turns off, the screen turns off.

60 seconds: After 10 seconds, the screen dims and after 60 seconds, it turns off.
Save the settings by pressing Select.
