Customize Your Webex Room Phone
Depending on what you need from your phone, you can customize it to suit your needs.
The default setting for many features and settings is to have them enabled. This is not to say that these items cannot be customized to suit your needs, but they can be.
There are certain settings that cannot be changed if they have the Lock icon next to them. Your administrator will be able to unlock these settings if you contact them.
Change the Ringtone
Incoming calls on your phone can be made louder or quieter by changing the sound that is used.
- On the screen of your phone, tap on the top-left corner.
- Click on the Settings button.
- Select Ringtone and volume from the menu on the left side of the screen.
- Choose a ringtone from the list.
Adjust the Ring Volume
It is possible to change the volume of your phone ring when you receive an incoming call if it is too loud or too soft. Your audio level on a call is not affected by changes to the ring volume on your phone.
- On the screen of your phone, tap on the top-left corner.
- Click on the Settings button.
- Select Ringtone and volume from the menu on the left side of the screen.
- You can adjust the volume by using the slider at the bottom of the screen.
Change Your Display Language
In order for your phone to display messages in your native language, you will need to change the display language on the phone.
Your administrator must configure this feature in order for it to be available.
- On the screen of your phone, tap on the top-left corner.
- Click on the Settings button.
- You can select Language from the menu by scrolling through it.
- Choose a language from the drop-down menu.
Change Your Time Zone
The time zone that you are in can be changed if it is incorrect.
- On the screen of your phone, tap on the top-left corner.
- Click on the Settings button.
- Tap Time zone from the menu when you scroll through it.
- You can choose from a variety of time zones by tapping on them.
Adjust the Screen Brightness
Your phone’s brightness setting can be adjusted if you want to make viewing more comfortable.
- In order to do so, tap the phone screen’s lower left corner.
- You can adjust the brightness of the screen by using the slider.
Put Your Device to Sleep
When you won’t be at your desk for a few hours, put your device into Standby mode. You will be able to save energy as well as prolong the lifespan of your device by doing this.
You can wake up your smartphone by receiving a call or by touching the LED screen when you receive a call. If you are on an active call, you won’t be able to put your device to sleep.
Your administrator must configure this feature in order for it to be available.
- On the screen of your phone, tap on the top-left corner.
- Click on the Settings button.
- Make sure that Standby is selected.
Wake Your Phone
In order to make a call or use a feature on your phone, you must wake up your phone if it is asleep.
There are a few different options you can choose from, depending on your device configuration:

Press and hold the screen of the phone for a few seconds.

Make sure you have an HDMI cable plugged in.

Connect to the wireless network and start sharing files.

Your laptop should be in the room when you enter.

An upcoming meeting will be notified to you by phone or email.
Set up your device in Personal mode
In a personal mode, your device can be accessed with the help of the Personal mode on your network, depending on how it is set up. The benefit of this mode is that you can view you own calendar instead of the agenda for your meetings in the meeting room. Also, a personal meeting space is available for you and your coworkers to collaborate with each other.
Your administrator must configure this feature in order for it to be available.

The first thing you should do is perform a factory reset on your device if it is connected to your network. Navigate through the settings menu on the device screen by tapping the Settings icon in the upper left corner. Ensure that the reset has been confirmed.
There are a number of options available for you to choose from.

Create a new device in Cisco Webex Settings (https://settings.webex.com/) by clicking on the Add Device button. Choose My Devices > Generate an Activation Code from the drop-down menu.

You can find your avatar within the Webex app by clicking on it. Navigate to Settings > Devices and select the device that you want to manage. Enter the activation code in the box and click Generate.
In order to set up your device, you need to go through the setup wizard. You will have to select Cisco Webex from the menu when you come to the Choose a call service section of the application.
As soon as the setup is complete, your device appears under My Devices in Webex Settings. Using this page, you will be able to change the name of the device and deactivate it.
