Customizing keys for devices with multiple users in zoom

The appearance and order of the line keys can be customized if more than one phone user has been assigned to the phone. Multiple users of the same phone can be supported by certain models.

Prerequisites for customizing keys for devices with multiple users

• Pro, Business, or Education account

• Account owner or admin privileges

• Zoom Phone license

• Zoom Phone device added and provisioned

• Zoom Phone device supports multiple phone users

Instructions

1. Zoom’s web portal can be accessed by logging in.

2. If you click Phone System Management in the navigation menu, then click Phones & Devices in the next window.

3. If a device has been assigned to more than one phone user, click on that device.

4. You can access this tab by clicking on the Keys & Positions button.

5. You can edit your document by clicking on the Edit button in the top-right corner.
   The following items can be viewed or edited by you:

• Key: Make sure that the shared lines are arranged in the correct order. If you need to move a row up or down in the order of rows, you can either drag and drop it or use the arrow buttons.

• Key’s Owner: This is a display that shows the owner of a particular extension or phone number.

• Line Subscription: The subscription is displayed in the form of an extension number or direct number.

• Alias (Optional): This option allows you to enter an alias that will be displayed with the associated line. A line can be more easily identified when it has an alias attached to it. In this case, the alias only appears on the screen of the desk phone and does not affect the caller ID at all.
  

  Note: When you enter a custom alias, the default alias will be replaced by the custom alias you entered. There is no limit to the number of characters that can be used in the alias. 

• Outbound Caller ID: This function displays the number for the outgoing caller ID for a line. There is the possibility of changing this in the line key settings for the phone user.
