DECT Handset Battery Charging in webex
Using the charging cradle provided with your DECT handset, you can charge the battery.
Set Up the Charging Cradle
Charging the handset is done with the charging cradle. Integrated into the power adapter is a USB cable that connects the cradle to the computer. Electrical outlets and power ratings in your country will determine the power adapter’s configuration.
- A level surface is best for placing the cradle.
- Power adapter USB connector plugged into power cord.
- Electrical outlets should be plugged into the power adapter.
Charge the Handset Battery
Charge the handset battery with the handset charger. Prior to using the battery for the first time, you should fully charge it for at least 10 hours. Charge it fully otherwise the battery may have a shorter life.
For the battery indicator to be accurate, you must discharge the battery and then charge it fully before replacing the battery.
The handset charger is provided for charging the battery. The battery, handset, or surrounding area can be damaged if you use another method.
The battery should only be charged in environments with temperatures between 32°F (0°C) and 104°F (40°C).
When charging the battery, make sure that you are not in a hazardous environment or in a place where an explosion might occur.
As soon as the handset is plugged into the charger, it comes on (if it is not already on) and displays a charge message. When the configured time expires, the handset’s screen dims.
Updated firmware can be detected by the LED flashing on the handset.
Before you begin
Obtain the cradle and set it up.
Charge your handset by plugging it into an electrical outlet.
Make sure that the handset and charger contacts match before inserting the handset into the charger.
You should see a charge message on the handset screen when the handset is charging. Delete the file and try to reinstall it. If it doesn’t work, unplug the charger and plug it back in again.
