Dedicated Instance Partner Connect Peering Questionnaire in webex
Dedicated Instance partners can exchange technical information with Cisco via the Partner Connectivity Questionnaire.
Introduction
As part of the Cisco Partner Connect program, Cisco utilizes the Partner Connect – Connectivity Questionnaire (PQ) to enable partners to connect to Webex Calling Dedicated Instances. As a tool for transferring technical details between Cisco and its partners, this questionnaire is provided in the form of a workbook. There is a requirement for a PQ for each geographical area (AMER, EMEA, APAC, AUS). In order to complete the questionnaire, Cisco works closely with the partner.
A number of connection options are available, including:
-
Connectivity between Partners and Customers (Partner Aggregated Customer Connectivity)
-
Direct Connect is a way for partners to connect with each other
-
Equinix Cloud Exchange (ECX) is a platform that connects partners to Equinix Cloud.
-
Using a mix of Direct and ECX to connect with Partners
More information about partner connectivity can be found in the Dedicated Instance Partner Connect document.
It is possible for partners to exchange technical details with Cisco for connecting with Dedicated Instance in the peering questionnaire that is part of the Dedicated Instance Partner Connect Peering Questionnaire, which can be downloaded here.

Worksheet instructions
To create a connection, please follow the steps below:
As part of the Partner Connectivity Worksheet, you are asked to fill out information about how your partnership will be connected, selecting either Direct, ECX or a mixture of both.
A Letter of Authorization (LOA) is provided by Cisco to the respective data center for Direct Connect in order to access 2 circuits per data center.
It is Cisco’s policy that all requests for connectivity must be reviewed internally before they can be approved.
Partner:
-
Assist Equinix in completing the wiring in accordance with the Letter of Agreement
-
It provides a confirmation email to Cisco that the cross connections are complete (when using the Direct type of cross connection).
-
Confirm that the BGP/Routing configuration for the respective Virtual Connections/VRFs has been completed, and inform Cisco that it is complete.
To perform end-to-end testing of BGP configurations with partners, Cisco provides them with a Connectivity Validation guide, which outlines how to validate the end-to-end connectivity.
As soon as the connection is established, the partner is informed that the state of the connection has been activated.
The new connection is now open for traffic to pass through it.
