Deprecation of the Traditional View for Use in Meetings
We are planning to stop supporting the Classic View portal for all Webex Meetings features beginning with the 40.9 upgrade in September 2020. Customers will still have access to the capabilities of Webex Events and Webex Training; however, they will no longer be able to access their Webex Meetings-specific functionalities through the Classic View interface. Customers will still have access to the Webex Events and Webex Training capabilities. Check out the specifics on the What’s Supported in Modern View page.
Note: Beginning with version 33.2 of Webex Business Suite (WBS), the Cisco Webex Meetings Desktop App will take the place of prior versions of the Webex Meetings client as well as the Productivity Tools. See the Cisco Webex Meetings Desktop App for further information.
Download and Set Up the Cisco Webex Meetings Desktop App is where you should go if you need assistance installing the integrated Desktop App.
IMPORTANT:
- Each meeting client has its own unique characteristics that are dependent on the Webex Service and Page Version that is currently being utilised. As a result of this, Cisco is unable to supply a singular Download link that will cater to the requirements of each and every user that is downloading a client. You can download the Webex Client on the computer where you will be participating in or hosting a meeting by following the instructions in this page.
- If you have the Cisco Webex Meetings Desktop App installed on your computer but delete the cookies in Chrome, Safari, or the Firefox browser, you may be prompted to install the app the next time you attend a meeting through the browser. This is the case even if you already have WBS 39.8 or a later version of the software. Users who have upgraded to later versions of WBS are affected. To begin using the Desktop App, select the Install option.
