Enable Cisco Webex for Government Calling Integration for Microsoft Teams
In order to ensure that Cisco Webex for Government calling works seamlessly with Microsoft Teams, you should install the Cisco Webex for Government calling app as an administrator.
Before you begin
It is essential to enable Allow external apps in the Microsoft Teams app and Allow sideloading of external apps if you wish to install the Webex for Government Calling Integration app for Microsoft 365. Please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) in order to get the installation package so that you can download it.
It is a requirement that Webex site administrators link users’ Webex accounts with their Microsoft 365 accounts before they can use the Webex Call tab within Microsoft Teams using a Microsoft Teams account. It is important that both accounts have the same email address.
- Your administrator account should be used to log into Microsoft Teams.
- You will find that if you click on your tenant’s name in the Apps section, you will have the option of uploading a custom app.
- Locate the Webex Call for Government.zip file on your local computer and then double-click it to open it so that you can listen to the Webex call.
- To add a Webex Call to FedRAMP, click the Add button after clicking Webex Call to FedRAMP.
- If you are asked to enter a password, you will be asked to do so after clicking Give Permission.
- To use the FedRAMP app included with Webex Call, you must enter the #CONSENT# function on the dial pad and then click the enter key.
- Click on the account you want to use as an administrator.
- By clicking accept, you will be granting Webex Call FedRAMP the permissions it has requested.
