Enable Local Wireless Share to On-Premises Registered Room and Desk Devices

Using the Cisco Webex Teams app, you are able to share material locally to a registered room or desk device that is located on your premises. From the Cisco Webex Control Hub for your organization, you have the ability to enable and disable this feature.

There are a few distinct ways in which the Webex Teams app can connect to on-premises and cloud-registered devices respectively. When the Webex Teams app is connected to a device that is located on the company’s premises, any data that is transferred between the app and a device located in a room or on a desk is always encrypted. On the other hand, when an HTTPS session is formed with a device that is located on the premises, we do not require certificate verification. The verification of certificates would make it impossible for any guest devices to function and would be difficult to deploy and keep up to date.
