Enable or Disable Webex Cloud-Connected UC Services in Control Hub
In order to gather information about the on-premises deployment of Webex Cloud-Connected UC, such as Analytics, Certificate Management, Operational Metrics, Borderless CTI and Deployment Insights, you will need to enable Webex Cloud-Connected UC services such as Analytics, Certificate Management, Operational Metrics, and Borderless CTI. It is up to you whether these services should be enabled or disabled based on your requirements.
- On the UC Management page of the Control Hub, click Inventory under the UC Management card from the customer view. On the Connected UC card, click the Managed UC tab.
There is a list of cluster groups available with descriptions, statuses, clusters, and nodes for each of them.
- Whenever a node belongs to a cluster group, you will see a Details button next to it.
The Inventory page appears, presenting a list of clusters that belong to the selected cluster group that can be selected.
- If the node belongs to a cluster, click Details next to the cluster name.
A box with the name of the node, a product description, and the status of the node appears.
- Please click on the ellipsis next to the Event History icon and select the Service Management option from the menu that appears.
Upon going to the Service Management page, you will find a list of all the services available to you, including Analytics, Certificate Management, Operational Metrics, Borderless CTI, and Deployment Insights.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to enable the specific service you are interested in, and click the toggle button to enable the one you desire.
Borderless CTI
There are some requirements for CTI functionality for users who want to use CTI over MRA as part of the Borderless CTI feature. The following are some of the benefits of Borderless CTI:
-
Deskphone control : It’s important for you to be able to connect WxApp to your desk phone so you can handle calls (dialing digits, making calls, ending calls etc.)
-
Extend & Connect : When using WxApp to make and receive calls via a home or hotel phone, you have to use the Extend and Connect feature on your PC because you do not have a VoIP connection or your PC hardware does not support VoIP.
If a cluster is provisioned and CUCM has been configured to receive CTI requests from the CCUC cloud for users configured for a cluster, CUCM will start syncing with the cloud. A version of Webex App version 42.6 is the minimum which is supported for CUCM 14.2 SU2 onwards, and CUCM 14.2 SU2 onwards is the latest release.
