Enable simultaneous interpretation and manage interpreters for a Personal Room meeting in webex

In order to enable simultaneous interpretation, you must first enable it in the settings of your Personal Room. You will then be able to assign interpreters once you have started the meeting in the Personal Room, as well as manage the languages of source and target.

Enable simultaneous interpretation for a Personal Room

You must first enable the feature in your preferences in order to be able to manage simultaneous interpretation in a Personal Room meeting.

1. Go to the Webex site and sign in.
2. In the Preferences section, select the Interpretation option under My Personal Room.
3. In my Personal Room meetings, I need to check the box that allows simultaneous interpretation.
4. Then click the Save button.

Assign interpreters in a Personal Room meeting

You can add languages to the simultaneous interpretation settings when you enable them. Once you have done so, you will be able to assign languages to the interpreters when you are in a meeting.

1. Upon your Webex Site’s Home page, you will be given the option to start a meeting.
2. Your personal room is the place where you can invite people. You can choose Invite and Remind from the More options menu.
3. Click Interpretation > Manage Interpretation in the Personal Room meeting in order to manage your interpretation.

• Select the source and target languages from the drop-down menu and click on Add new language.

• If you would like to elevate a participant to the role of interpreter from the drop-down list or select an interpreter from the drop-down list, all you need to do is click on the Apply button.
