Enable Web App Management on Webex Boards and Desk Series devices
The easiest way to manage web apps directly from the device is to turn on Web App Management and then add, edit, and delete web apps.
In the local web interface of the device, you will find the following configurations that can be enabled. More information about how to access device configurations can be found in the Device Configurations article.
Select the Settings option under the Setup tab on the web interface of the device once it is opened by the web browser and select the configuration that you want to use
-
Configuration > WebEngine > Mode : Activate the web engine by selecting the On option.
-
Configuration > WebEngine > Features > LocalWebAppManagement : In the settings menu on the device, you can select the option for allowed and the user will be able to add, edit, and delete web apps from the menu. It is possible to access the web apps list in the settings menu when it is set to Not Allowed, but adding, editing, or deleting web apps isn’t possible. In the settings menu of the device, the web apps are not available when the web apps setting is set to Off.
In the Externally Managed Web App section of the web apps list, you will see a list of web apps that have been configured on Control Hub or in the UI extension editor. However, you cannot edit or delete the web apps on the device as they have been configured.
