Enabling auto sign-in with ZDM in zoom app
If a device is assigned to a Zoom Room from Zoom’s web interface, the device can be managed by Zoom’s Mobile Device Management service (ZDM), or by a third-party mobile device management service (MDM). When the Zoom Rooms app is assigned, it will be automatically downloaded, installed, and logged into once it has been assigned.
Prerequisites for enabling auto sign-in with ZDM
For Mac Zoom Rooms, it is possible to enable auto-sign-in by following these steps:
-
An MDM service must be enrolled on the device
Enabling Auto Sign-in for Windows Zoom Rooms:
-
An MDM service must be enrolled on the device
-
Device must be running Windows 10 Version 1703 or later
Enabling Auto-Sign in for iOS Zoom Room controllers:
-
It is necessary to set the device into supervised mode (which is automatically done by ABM and ASM when the device is turned on)
-
An MDM service must be enrolled on the device
How to enable auto sign-in with ZDM
-
Zoom Rooms can be accessed via the Zoom web portal by signing in and clicking on Room Management.
-
If you want to assign a device to a Zoom Room, you will need to click Edit next to the Zoom Room.
-
There is an Assign Device button under the heading Auto sign in room that you need to click on.
-
You will need to click the Save button after selecting the device from the drop-down menu, and choosing a type of device.
-
Assign unlisted devices if you are unable to locate your device from the drop down menu. Once you have done so, enter the serial number of the device you wish to assign manually into the field that is provided.
Troubleshooting
-
Zoom web portal will display a message stating that you cannot be assigned to a Zoom user if your Windows device does not run Windows 10 Version 1703 or later. You will not be able to enable the auto-sign-in feature on this device, so you will not be able to add it.
