Enabling or disabling Children’s Education Status setting in zoom app
If your organization provides educational services to children under 18, you can identify your Zoom account profile and report as an administrator or owner using the Children’s Education Status setting.
Notes:

Teachers, principals, administrators, superintendents, and principals are the only people authorized to sign Zoom’s Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices. When re-signing Zoom’s Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices, your organization will need to do so yearly.

The Children’s Education Status setting must be enabled for all international and U.S. customers.

The Zoom Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices must be e-signed by U.S. customers who provide educational services to children under 13 years old.

Zoom’s Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices does not require an e-signature if you provide educational services to children under the age of 13.

How to enable the Children’s Education Status setting
Notes:

When you select the Under 13 checkbox for your organization in the United States, Zoom will lock your account if you do not e-sign Zoom’s Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices within 30 days of self-identifying as a provider of educational services to children under the age of 13.

If you fail to unlock your locked account within 30 days, it may be deleted. Follow the prompts once you log in. To avoid service interruptions, please contact your CSM or Support.
Account
Children’s Education Status can be enabled or disabled by following these steps:

Admins can edit account settings by logging into the Zoom web portal as admins.

You can access your account profile by clicking Account Management in the navigation menu.

Select Account Profile from the menu.

You can enable or disable this feature under Basic Information by clicking the This account provides education services to children under the age of 18.

Verify the change by clicking Enable or Disable in the verification dialog.

Select all age groups for which the organization provides services, and then, under Which age group does the organization serve?, select the check box(es) of the applicable age group(s).

Save the file.

Click Continue when prompted by the dialog box.

Enter the information about the organization in the Add Organization Information box.

Your role in the organization can be found under Your Role in the Organization.

In order to use Zoom’s Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices for your organization, you must supply the name, email address, and consent request of the Superintendent/Principal/Administrator/Teacher who will consent to Zoom’s Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices.

Selecting Other now will not require you to enter a secondary authorized party if you previously selected the 13 to 15 and/or 16 to 17 check boxes.

Click on Add.
An email with directions for completing this education account activation will be sent to you or the consenter (see Step 9) as soon as possible. In order for your organization to utilize this account, you or your recipient will need to provide consent to Zoom’s Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices.
Note: If you selected the 13 to 15 and/or 16 to 17 check boxes after adding organization information to your account, you can use your account without having to e-sign Zoom’s Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices, as you will not be required to do so. -
There is an option to modify who will consent to Zoom’s Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices if you need to change who will be using the service. Click Change recipient if necessary.

Please provide us with the name and email address of the Superintendent/Principal/Administrator/Teacher who will consent to the collection and use of educational data by the organization under Change Recipient.

Click on the Change button.
Upon consenting, the consenter will receive an email thatwill include instructions on how to complete the activation of their education account. In order for your organization to use this account, you will have to gain consent from the recipient of the email before you can use Zoom’s Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices.
