Enabling sound notifications for meetings in zoom app
With sound notification enabled, the host is able to play sounds when someone arrives or leaves a scheduled meeting if video is turned on, giving the host a chance to play those sounds. Having the sound notification disabled will prevent people from hearing a sound when they join or leave the meeting when it is disabled.
Prerequisites for enabling sound notifications for meetings

The account must be a free account or higher
Enabling Sound notification
Account

You will be able to sign into your Zoom account once you have logged in.

Select Account Management from the navigation panel, and then select Account Settings from the Account Management menu.

To access the Meeting tab, click the Meeting button.

It is possible to enable sound notifications when someone joins or leaves the group by clicking the toggle. Click on the Enable button in the popup window that appears.

If you click on Play sound for, you will have the option to select from the following:

Everyone: The host as well as all the participants in the meeting can hear the chime sound as well.

Note: In this case, no matter what audio device the participants or host are using (computer or telephone audio) a chime will be heard and a telephone recording will be made.

Host and co-hosts: Only the host or co-hosts of the meeting can hear the sound of the chime sound during the meeting.

Note: When the host is also using telephone audio, the host will be able to hear the recording on the telephone. The host will hear a chime sound instead if they are using computer audio to speak.

You can ask to record someone’s voice when they join by phone, and use that recording as the notification when they join: It is possible to record the names of participants who join by telephone. The host and participants will listen to the telephone recording depending on the settings that are set above, which may include:

Then click the Save button.

In the Lock “Sound notification when someone joins or leaves” pop-up window, click Lock if you want to make this setting mandatory for all members of the entire account. If you want to make this setting mandatory for all members of the entire account, click the lock icon.
Group

You will be able to sign into your Zoom account once you have logged in.

Select the User Management option from the navigation panel and then select the Group Management option.

If you wish to select a particular group, select it from the list.

To access the Meeting tab, click the Meeting button.

By clicking the toggle switch next to the member’s name, you will be notified when someone joins or leaves the group. In the pop-up window that appears, click the Enable button to enable the feature.

You can select any of the following in the Play sound for box:

Everyone: It should be noted that all participants in the meeting will be able to hear the chime sound.

Once the file has been saved, click on it.

In the Lock “Sound notification when someone joins or leaves” pop-up window, click the Lock option, and in the Pop-up window that appears, click the Lock icon. If you want this setting to be mandatory for all members of the entire group, click the Lock icon.
User

You will be able to sign in to your Zoom account once you have logged in.

Select Settings from the navigation panel at the top of the screen.

Click on the Meeting tab on the left side of the screen.

By clicking the toggle next to the Join/Leave notification, you are able to enable it.

If you click on Play sound for, you will have the option to select from the following:

Everyone: The host as well as all the participants in the meeting can hear the chime sound as well.

Note: Regardless of the device used to listen to the audio (computer or telephone), the host and participants will listen to a chime and a telephone recording.

When someone joins by phone, select Ask to record their voice to use as the notification: The name of each participant who joins by telephone can be recorded. If the settings above have been followed, the host and participants will be able to hear the recording of the telephone call:

Then click the Save button.

Note: You may need to contact your account administrator if sound notification when someone joins or leaves the account is disabled.
