Error: ‘Illegal characters are not allowed in form fields.’ when Trying to Upgrade a Cisco Webex Meetings with Webex Teams Account
During the upgrade of a Cisco Webex Meetings with Webex Teams account, you may receive an error message that states ‘Illegal characters are not allowed in form fields’.
Error: When entering the billing information in order to add a new license, you will receive a message that says, ‘Illegal characters are not allowed in form fields.’.
Error: When filling out the billing info form, you will be informed that any characters that are illegal will not be accepted.
Cause:
During the upgrade of a Cisco Webex Meetings with Webex Teams account, this error appears when the Company Name field contains special characters or unique characters.
To resolve this issue:

Visit http://admin.webex.com to access the Cisco Webex Control Hub.

Choose the Info tab from the lower-left corner of the screen, click on your company name:

If any special characters or unique characters are present in the company name, remove them, then save:

You can upgrade your subscription by selecting Change Plan under the Subscriptions tab.
