Error: ‘Policy Alert. Your system administrator has disabled the ability to communicate with users who are a part of this domain.
The following error message was encountered: “Your system administrator does not allow communication with persons in this domain.”
When I try to use Jabber, it gives me the message “Policy Alert. Your system administrator does not allow communication with persons in this domain.”
This problem arises because the action tag ‘Internal IM (including authorized domains)’ in Org Admin is turned off, which in turn causes the problem.
Solution:
- It would be necessary for the Org Admin to enable the policy in order to permit Internal IM:
- Enter your credentials into the Org Admin console.
- To edit the policy, select the Policy Editor tab.
- Choose the policy from the list of organizational policies, after which you should click the action button labeled Internal IM (including authorized domains), and then select Edit.
- elect Enabled, and then click the Save button:
- Next, navigate to the User tab and look for the user who was affected.
- To edit, click the button.
- To assign policy groups, select the tab titled “Policy Group Assignment.”
- Simply add the policy once again.
- To save the changes, click the Apply button, then click the Save button.
