Error: ‘Your Webex Site Administrator has turned on automatic recording for this meeting’ when Starting a Meeting from a Mobile Device
In this instance, you can see that the setting for automatic recording has been enabled by your Webex Site Administrator, when you start a meeting from a mobile device.
When the option to automatically record all meetings using Network-Based Recordings is enabled, a mobile device can’t join a meeting using the Network-Based Recordings option when the option is enabled.
An error message appeared stating that ‘Your Webex Site Administrator turned on automatic recording’ prevented me from starting a meeting from a mobile device.
As I try to start meetings from my mobile phone, I receive an error message that says ‘Your Webex Site Administrator has enabled automatic recording for this meeting’.
From my mobile device, I am not able to start recording meetings.
Note:
Users’ accounts are managed through the Cisco Webex Control Hub administrator at https://admin.webex.com for sites with Webex and Webex Meetings, rather than through the Webex site administrator for sites with Webex and Webex Meetings. User management through Webex site admin is only available for standalone Webex sites that do not use Webex.
Solution:
If you have enabled the setting in your user account that will automatically record all the sessions using Network-Based Recording, then any device that is unable to start recordings may not be able to start the meeting from any mobile device you are using.
The first thing you will need is a computer that supports recording, or a mobile device that has the ability to record the meeting.

In order to prevent all meetings from automatically recording over the network:

Go to the Administration page of your Webex site and log in. (Example: SITENAME.Webex.com/admin.php)

Located on the left side of the navigation bar, click Configuration.

The service type can be selected under the Configuration section by clicking on the following link:

In the Webex Events section, you can select the options you want

There are a number of options available for Webex training

You must uncheck the box to prevent all sessions from being automatically recorded.

To update the page, scroll to the bottom and click Update.
