Expert on Demand | Power on and Sign in webex

Webex Expert on Demand allows you to access Webex by either scanning a QR code or typing your Webex username and password into the sign in box.

Power on and set up the RealWear HMT

If you first turn on the device, it may beep as an indication that it needs to be configured. When the device detects a QR code and scans it, it performs a configuration process based on the information. A QR code can be generated by opening the RealWear Companion app on your mobile phone.

• When you want to turn on your device, press the power button on the side of the device and hold it for a few seconds.

• Follow the steps on the device to configure the device. Select First Time Setup, and select Trust this Device.
• Once the QR code has been generated, you need to point the HMT camera at it.

• The time and date, as well as the wireless network, can be checked in order to confirm that the device has been configured by speaking NAVIGATE HOME.

Check if someone else is signed in

In some organizations that have installed Webex Expert on Demand on their wearable devices, users’ accounts, as well as the wearable device itself are shared across multiple people.

Check if there is another user already logged in to Webex Expert on Demand before you sign in.

A shared wearable device that is already powered on and configured with Webex Expert on Demand is considered to be a shared wearable device.

• It’s time to say menu.

In the menu list that appears at the top of the page, you will be able to see the name of the person who is currently signed in.

• When the user wants to sign out, say Signout, and the application will sign them out.
• If you wish, you can then follow the steps to sign in to Webex Expert on Demand after you have done this.

Sign in with a QR code

• Scan the code and say “Scan”.

• You can get your code in one of the following ways:

• Make sure you have the Realwear Companion App installed on your smartphone.

• Using any device, such as a mobile, tablet or desktop browser, you can visit http://expert-on-demand.webex.com/.

When you use Webex Expert on Demand 1.9 or later, you must select the check box to enable the feature.

• Generate the code by clicking the Generate Code button.
• Sign in using the username and password you used to sign up for the Webex App.
• Use your RealWear HMT-1 to scan the code.

Sign in with a Webex username and password

• Tell the user to enter their username and password.

• You can bring up the keyboard by saying Select Item 1 on the menu.
• You will need to enter your username and password for Webex, and then click on Submit.
