Filter Rooms in Cisco Jabber for Windows in webex
It is possible to filter conversations in chat rooms so that you will be notified of anytime there is a conversation that matches your criteria in a chat room. There are filters that can be used to search for the use of specific words, the comment of a certain user, or even the mention of your username.
- Select Chat Rooms > Filters from the client’s main menu, and then click the Create Filter button.
- In order to define the filter criteria, you first need to give it a label. In order to filter chat rooms, you can use as many as three keywords or you can use the username of the user. Specifying the sender and up to three keywords is required. It is not mandatory to define at least one keyword, but you are allowed to specify the sender and up to three keywords.
- Click on the Create button.
The results are listed in the Filter tab, with a number next to each of the results that you have not read. The number is based on the number of results that were found. Every time a new match is made for your filter, the results will be automatically updated to reflect the new match. It is possible to view the chat history of the rooms where your matches were found when you click on the filter match in the room list when you have matches on your filter.
