Gesture Recognition on Desk Series in webex
You can raise your hand, clap, or give a thumbs up or down as a signal that you have a question or are reacting, without interrupting the conversation of others, so that others know you have something to add to the discussion.
Meetings that are started from a Webex space do not support gesture recognition. A reaction can be viewed both in the Webex app as well as on a device that supports the feature. Additionally, you can check out the Webex app to see if anyone has reacted to your message.
By default, gesture recognition is turned off. The gesture recognition feature can be enabled during a meeting by tapping the React button on the call control screen, and then toggle the Recognize gestures feature on.
- You can give a thumbs up or thumbs down in front of your Desk device in a meeting by raising your hand, clapping, or giving a thumbs up or down. There is a timer on the screen that shows the confirmation time. Please wait until the timer has finished before reacting to anything. A gesture can be stopped before the timer is over. This will not trigger any action to take place.
As the meeting proceeds, participants can see if someone clapped, thumbed up or down on the screen and their name appears along with their reaction.
As soon as someone raises their hand during the meeting, the participants of the meeting are notified on the screen. For the first hand that is raised, a notification with the full name is displayed.
There is an icon that shows the number of people who have raised their hands in response to the question.
- In order to lower your hand, you need to select Lower your hand, by tapping the React button again.
