Get Started with Cisco Webex Training
Your online training programmes will have a greater degree of success when you use Webex Training. You are able to give live, interactive sessions to students located anywhere, and you can keep them interested in the material by providing them with hands-on training, tests, and breakout sessions to improve their education.
Schedule a Training Session
After logging onto the Webex Training site for your company, navigate to the Host a Session > Schedule Training menu option.
At the very least, make sure all of the session information is full, including the requirements for registering, the date, the audio settings, and the attendees. Additionally, you have the ability to prepare course materials, computer laboratories, and breakout sessions in advance.
Start a Training Session
Please remember to log in to the Webex Training site for your company at the appointed hour. Start your training session by going to My Webex > My Meetings, finding it there, and clicking the Start button.
Join a Training Session
You received an email containing the instructions for the training session when you were asked to attend. Simply clicking on the link will get you started with the session. Fill in your name and email address in the appropriate fields under Join Session Now, and then click the Join Now button.
There is a possibility that you will be required to enter a session password. This information is included in the invitation that you received for the training session.
The user interface of Webex Training is straightforward. The various options for the training session are located in the middle, while the participants and additional panels can be found on the right.
Connect to Audio
You are welcome to use either your computer or your phone in order to connect to the audio during a Webex Training session. (with a headset).
Go to and choose the mode of connection you would like to use:
Choose an option from the drop-down list, and then click the Call Me button, to receive a callback at a different number from the one you entered.
Start Your Video
When you attend a training session, the video on your device will automatically be turned off. Click the button to turn on your webcam if you want other people to be able to see you. When your video is playing, the button will change colour to blue.
You have the option to silence yourself if you do not want other people to hear what you have to say.
Have you reconsidered your decision and now prefer not to be filmed? Choose to pause your video for the remainder of the training session. When the video is not being played, the button will be grey.
Share Content
Click on in order to share what’s on your screen during the training session.
To enable file sharing, such as a presentation created in Microsoft PowerPoint, select an item from the list of drop-down menus.
Your sharing preference, be it the screen, a file, or an application, will be retained for the next time you use it.
Record a Training Session
Your training sessions are vital. Record your session so that it can be shared at a later time if not everyone will be able to attend or if you wish to make on-demand recorded instruction available. The recording captures both the audio and video as well as any presentations that were given.
You should choose to record your session as soon as possible while you are in it. When recording is taking place, a scarlet icon will appear on the screen for you and your participants.
Following the conclusion of the training session, you will get an email containing the link to the recording.
Your recording will normally appear shortly after the training session, but the exact timing is contingent on a number of factors, including the recording size, the bandwidth available on the site, and other considerations.
