Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started with Webex?
Start a meeting
The meeting is scheduled to begin at a specific time, so you must log into your Webex site at that time. On the home page, you will find a list of upcoming meetings under Upcoming Meetings. Go to the appropriate meeting and click Start. You can select View all meetings to see a list of other meetings that have been scheduled if you cannot see the meeting you are looking for. Your Personal Room is also a great place to start a meeting.
Is there a web version of Webex?
In Webex Meeting’s web app, you have the ability to join or start meetings, webinars, events, and training sessions from your web browser, right from the Webex Meetings web app. Discover what features are available in the web app and how to use them. How do I open Webex in app instead of browser?
The Start Meeting or Join Meeting button can be found directly under the downward arrow located on the right side of the Start Meeting or Join Meeting button under the Personal Room section of your dashboard, Personal Room page, or Meeting Information page. If you choose to use your Meetings desktop app, you will be able to join your meetings from the Meetings desktop app in the drop-down list
What equipment do you need for Webex?
Online meetings require the use of a microphone in order to be successful. A headset is a good choice since it prevents feedback that is caused by your speakers, keep you away from distracting others around you, and allows you to hear the sound from your microphone clearly. Use earbuds or headphones to listen to your music. You should use headphones when listening to music on your laptop, even though the laptop is equipped with speakers.
Does Webex work on Chrome?
Those who have Webex Meetings installed on their Chrome OS device will now be able to access it as an application on that device by downloading the Webex Meetings PWA from the Google Play store.
