Get Started with Your New Cisco IP DECT Handset in webex

The keypad on your DECT handset can be locked or unlocked and you can turn it on and off.

Your New Handset

Following are the steps you need to take before using your handset:

• Connect the handset to a base station after installing the battery, charging the handset, and configuring the handset. The steps to installing your new handset can be found here.

• Go to https://settings.webex.com/ and complete your initial configuration.

Turn On Your Handset

The screen will turn on when you hold Power/End.

Turn Off Your Handset

Turn the screen off by pressing and holding Power/End.

Lock the Handset Keypad

Using the keypad lock prevents accidental dialing.

Only emergency numbers can be dialed when the keypad is locked.

The key lock icon (or ) will appear on the screen after you press and hold Asterisk.

Unlock the Handset Keypad

Most calls can only be placed if the keypad is unlocked. Unlocking the phone may require a PIN.

Only emergency numbers can be dialed when the keypad is locked.

Once this message appears, press and hold Asterisk until the key lock icon appears or it does not appear.
