Getting started as an OnZoom Attendee
Note:
As of launch, OnZoom is only available in the United States. Eventually, OnZoom will be available worldwide.
The OnZoom platform is a consumer-facing digital experience marketplace where consumers can explore and discover innovative interactive and engaging virtual experiences from creators of every size: from large-scale media companies to creative individuals.

Prerequisites for getting started as an OnZoom Attendee
- Zoom desktop client
- Windows: 5.3.0 (52651.0920) or higher
- macOS: 5.3.0 (52651.0920) or higher
- Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Education account
- Basic user
How to register for OnZoom events
Note:
Participants must login to the Zoom desktop client using their OnZoom registration/ticket purchase email account to attend an event.
Register for a free OnZoom event
Registration is free for the events listed below:
- Log in to OnZoom.
Once you are logged in, you will see a list of all the events you can register for. - All you have to do is click on the free event that interests you.
- Then you need to register for it.
- Select the ticket you want from the Choose Ticket window and click on the Continue button.
You can use the plus + and minus – buttons to select how many tickets you want if it is applicable. - The order review page will appear as follows:
- Type your email address under the Email Address field.
If you have multiple tickets, please enter the email addresses of the ticket recipients. - You can edit your ticket information by clicking Edit Ticket or remove a ticket by clicking Delete.
- Select the options that you wish to include:
- In acknowledging the OnZoom Privacy Statement and reading the Event Participant Terms of Use, I agree to them.
- My contact information may be shared with the event organizer by OnZoom.
- Type your email address under the Email Address field.
- Confirm your registration by clicking the button.
You can sync the event to your calendar once the order confirmation page appears.
Note:
The initials of your OnZoom account name will serve as your avatar during a free event. You cannot change your avatar during a free event.
Register for a paid OnZoom event
Note:
It is not possible to send multiple tickets to the same email address.
You must enter your payment method to complete the registration process and your sold-to address before you can register for a paid event.
Registration for a paid event is as follows:
- Log in to OnZoom.
Your registration options will be displayed. - Choose the paid event you wish to register for.
- Press the Register button.
- Click Continue after selecting your ticket in the Choose Ticket window.
You can choose how many tickets you want by using the plus + or minus – buttons. - Click the Continue button.
- The Review Order page will look like this:
- Enter your email address under Email Address.
Enter the email addresses of the ticket recipients if you have more than one ticket. - To edit your ticket information, click Edit Ticket or to delete a ticket, click Delete.
- If you wish to share your contact information with the event organizer, select the I agree checkbox.
- Enter your email address under Email Address.
- Then click Continue.
- On the Confirm and Pay page, choose whether you will pay with a credit or debit card or PayPal, then enter the necessary information to complete your ticket purchase.
Notes:- You will see your address if you have already saved it to your profile.
Furthermore, you can edit the saved billing address during the paid registration process. The updated address will also appear under Attendee Payment & Billing after you have saved it during the journey. - Based on what the Host accepts, payment methods will be available.
- You will see your address if you have already saved it to your profile.
- By checking the box at the bottom of the page, you acknowledge the OnZoom Privacy Statement and acknowledge your understanding of the Event Participant Terms of Use.
- Press Pay Now to complete your purchase.
Your calendar will be updated once the confirmation page appears.
How to share contact information with the event organizer
Some OnZoom events may require you to share your contact information with the Host. When you agree to share your information with OnZoom Hosts, they will receive your contact information from OnZoom.
The Host may use your information according to its own privacy policies once it receives your information. By sending direct information about the event, future events, and other marketing communications, the Host may provide you with information about the event, future events, or share your information with others. Please be sure to read the applicable policies of the Host carefully before engaging. On the Host’s event listing or profile page, the Host’s host policies may be available or they can be requested by contacting the Host directly.
It is up to you whether or not you wish to share your contact information with the Host, so just clear the checkbox I agree that OnZoom may share my contact information with the event organizer if you do not want to share your personal information. Please contact the hosting company via our contact host services if you have any questions about how your information will be used. You will find the hosting company’s privacy policies under their contact host services.

How to join an event
An email will be sent to you after you have registered for a free or paid event.
Notes:
- A user must log in to the Zoom desktop client with the same email address used for the OnZoom registration/ticket purchase in order to join an event.
- Each ticket creates a unique URL that links your account to the event. Your link will not be accessible to other users.
- Dialing in or joining audio via Zoom Phone is not supported.
Join an event from an email
You can join an event from an email address by following these steps:
- Please open the email confirmation you received from OnZoom.
- To view the ticket, click the View Ticket button.
The event’s details page will appear after you click the View Ticket button. - You will be prompted to join the event.
Join an event from your OnZoom account
Your OnZoom account can be used to join an event by following the steps below:
- Go to OnZoom and sign in.
Note: - The email address associated with your ticket must be used to sign in.
- Click Tickets at the top of the page.
- Find the event you wish to attend.
- Go to the lobby.
Join an event from a calendar entry
From a calendar entry, you can join an event:
- You can view your calendar here.
- Locate the OnZoom event you wish to attend.
- Click on the schedule entry.
- Follow the instructions to join the event.
Note: - Each OnZoom account has a unique URL in the calendar entry. Any other user cannot access the link.
Join an event from a Zoom Rooms system
To attend OnZoom events using Zoom Rooms, you must have a Zoom Rooms setup and be signed in to your Zoom Rooms account.
Join an event from a Zoom for Home device
To attend OnZoom events using Zoom for Home, you will need a Zoom for Home-compatible device.
How to favorite an event
You can save events to your Favorites list by following these steps:
- Access OnZoom by logging in.
- You can favorite an event by clicking the Favorite button on its card.
On the event’s details page, you can also click Favorite.
Select Favorites in the top-right corner to see the list of events you’ve favorited.
How to share an event
OnZoom events can be shared as follows:
- Log in to OnZoom.
- When you have found the event you wish to share, click the Share button.
The Share button can also be found on the event’s detail page. - There are several options for sharing events:
- Via e-mail: Click the e-mail icon.
Write your message and send. - You can choose which social media icon to use: Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, or LinkedIn.
- Share the event link:
- To share the event link, copy and paste the link into your social media account.
- Via e-mail: Click the e-mail icon.
How to rate an event
Note:
The only way to rate an event is to attend it.
A rating is given as follows:
- OnZoom requires a sign-in.
- Click Tickets at the top of the page.
- Select the Past tab.
- Next to the past event you want to rate, click Rate Event.
- Indicate your rating by selecting the number of stars.
Note: - An additional star will appear if the Host did an exceptional job if you give a 5-star rating.
- (Optional) Provide more details about the event in the feedback box.
- Then click Save.
Edit an event’s rating
To edit a previous rating, follow these steps:
- Log in to OnZoom.
- Click Tickets in the top-right corner.
- Then click Paste.
- Right next to an event that you have already rated, click Review Rating.
- Then click Edit.
- To change your rating of the event, click the number of stars you would like.
- Alternatively, you may edit your reviews or comments in the feedback box.
- Simply click Save.
Delete an event’s rating
A previous rating can be deleted by following these steps:
- Log in to OnZoom.
- To the right of the screen, click Tickets.
- Select the Past tab.
- You can click the Review Rating link next to an event that you have already rated.
- Click the Delete button.
How to search for events
OnZoom’s search box and the category OnZoom for You will help you find events that you may be interested in more quickly.
Search for events by keywords
Using a keyword, you can search for events:
- OnZoom can be accessed by signing in.
- Then click What are you interested in attending? and enter the keywords that describe your event.
Filter event searches
A category can be used to filter events:
- Log in to OnZoom.
- You can narrow your search by selecting one of the following categories:
- OnZoom for You
- Education & Family
- Networking & Business
- Visual Arts & Entertainment
- Drinks & Food
- Health & Fitness
- Lifestyle & Home
- Spirituality & Community
- Other
- You can further narrow your search results by using the search filter:
- Date
- Categories
- Price
- Type
- Search for your event with the selected filters applied.
How to gift an event ticket
An event ticket can be purchased and the ticket can be gifted — or it can be transferred — to someone else.
Gifting a paid event can be done in the following ways:
- On the confirmation page of your order, click on View Tickets.
The Tickets button can also be found in the top right-hand corner. - All you have to do is click the Gift button next to the event you wish to give as a gift.
- If you want to gift the ticket ownership to someone else, please enter the email address of the person you want to gift it to.
- Please enter a message letting them know why you are gifting them this ticket (optional).
- Once the message is entered, click the Gift to Friend button.
Reassign ownership of an event ticket
Note:
Gifted tickets may only be reassigned by the original registrant.
Previously gifted tickets can be reassigned to someone else if they are no longer yours:
- Log in to OnZoom.
- Click Tickets in the upper right corner.
- Select Orders from the menu.
- Click the ellipsis next to the event you previously gifted, then click the View Details button.
- Then click Reassign.
- If you want to transfer ownership of the ticket to someone else, enter their email address.
- Enter a message explaining why you’re gifting them this ticket (optional).
- Click Gift to Friend.
Opt in to share contact information
Gift recipients will have the option to opt-in when they receive a ticket.
Log in through the Tickets tab
Click the Tickets tab to opt in.
- Log in to OnZoom.
- Click Tickets in the top-right corner.
- Look for the gift ticket you received.
- Optionally, select:
- I agree to Zoom sharing my contact information with the Host for marketing purposes, such as contacting me about news and events.
The check box can also be selected in the ticket details by clicking View Order.
Opt in through ticket details
Through the ticket details, you can opt in:
- OnZoom requires you to sign in.
- Click Tickets in the upper right-hand corner.
- Click View Order to view the gift ticket you received.
- (Optional) Check the box next to:
- By signing this agreement, I agree that Zoom may share my contact information with the Host for marketing purposes, such as informing me about news and events.
You can cancel your registration by following these steps
The Host’s cancellation policy allows you to cancel your registration at any time.
How to contact the Host
To contact the Host via email:
- Log in to OnZoom.
- To the right of the screen, click Tickets.
- From the events list, click View Order under the event you wish to review.
- To contact the host, click Contact Host at the left of the page.
- After you have composed your message, send it on to the host.
