Getting started with the Children’s Education Status setting in zoom app
The Children’s Education Status setting in the Zoom account profile allows you to self-identify your Zoom account profile if your organization uses Zoom products to provide education services to children under the age of 18. The setting can be used by any admin or owner of the Zoom account.
Notes:
-
A Zoom Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices can only be signed by an authorized superintendent, principal, administrator, or teacher on behalf of the school. In order to renew Zoom’s Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices, your organization will be required to re-sign the consent annually at the time the agreement is renewed.
-
Customers who are based overseas and in the United States will have to enable the setting Children’s Education Status.
-
Currently, Zoom’s Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices policy requires all U.S. customers providing educational services to children under age 13 to electronically sign it as part of the registration process.
-
The Zoom Consent to Educational Data Collection Practices does not have to be e-signed by international customers who provide educational services to children under the age of 13, according to Zoom.
-
-
Using this setting will prevent users under the age of 18 from creating accounts if this setting is enabled.
-
Whenever you have questions, feel free to contact your Customer Service Manager or Support.
